Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about sending files with SwiftDrop.

Why do I need an invite code?

SwiftDrop is in invite-only beta while we scale our edge network and keep abuse low. Codes are released to waitlist members in limited batches. If your code is rejected, it may have expired or already been used — join the waitlist from the sign-up page to receive a fresh one.

How big can a transfer be?

Free accounts send up to 5 GB per transfer. Pro raises this to 100 GB and Business to 1 TB, with resumable uploads on every tier.

How is my data protected?

Files are encrypted in your browser before upload and stored encrypted at rest. Optional passwords add a second layer, and links expire automatically.

What happens when a link expires?

Once a link reaches its expiry window or download limit, the underlying file is permanently purged from our nodes. Expired links cannot be revived.

Is there an API?

Yes. Pro and Business plans include a REST API, webhooks, and a cross-platform CLI so you can automate transfers inside your own pipelines. Documentation is available from your dashboard after sign-in.

Can I cancel anytime?

Absolutely. Manage or cancel your subscription from your dashboard at any time. Paid plans come with a 14-day money-back guarantee.
